Make city clean to be "City Beautiful"

Chandigarh cannot become a beautiful city by just calling it ‘City Beautiful’. What is required is to keep it clean and also to spread awareness about it. Mr Pawan Kumar Bansal, Chandigarh MP was speaking at a function organized by Residents Welfare Association Sector 28 A at the Saint Soldier School where the sector welfare association had called a general body meeting.

Mr Bansal was the chief guest on the occasion and he was accompanied by his wife Mrs Madhu Bansal. The association president Mrs Ritu, vice president Pardeep Aggarwal and Rajesh Gupta, general secretary Col (retd) Avinash Sharma among others were present.

The MP also released the directory of the sector 28A welfare association. Mr Bansal said it was a heartening to see that the welfare association members were making efforts to make people aware of making the sector garbage free. He said the residents can play an important role in keeping city clean and beautiful. He also added that the welfare association had joined hands with the municipal corporation and was hence making a good progress in their initiative.
