Pad Yatra - Indira ColonyPadyatra gets tremendous response from party supporters

Amidst the beating of Dhols, and Congress flags all over the Indira Colony, Chandigarh MP, Mr. Pawan Kumar Bansal carried out Padyatra going from house to house meeting colony residents, who came out in large numbers to show their support.

Several senior party leaders were present there and the colony residents joined Mr. Bansal as he walked around meeting them and greeting them, winning smiles and assuring the best amenities to the jubilant party supporters there.

Padyatra’s are a part of Congress reach out programme ahead of general elections due next month. The party is also distributing one-page flyers listing the UPA government’s achievements. Today was the ninth Padyatra of the party in the city. Yesterday it was taken out in Mauli Jagran.

People had come out to get a glimpse of the leader who had met his promises made five years back. While there were hundreds in narrow yet well carpeted roads of the colony, many had come out on their rooftops waving hands in the support of the Congress ‘hand’.

The beating of dhols went well with slogans in support of the party like, “Congress ka haath humare saath’’ and “Pawan Bansal zindabaad, Congress party zindabaad”.

Shashi Shankar Tiwari, Colonies Cell President of the party, besides other senior leaders like Pawan Sharma, Rampal Sharma, H.S. Lucky, and Chitaranjan Chanchal, among others were also present during the Padyatra.
