A total of 150 youth from Mauli Jagran today flocked the residence of Mr Pawan Kumar Bansal, MP in Sector 28 here announcing their joining the Congress. The youth were led by Uggar Sain under whose presidentship new enrolments were done.

Prem Pal Chauhan, Vice President, District Congress Party, Urban-II, Chandigarh who was also present there said today’s joining is just the beginning and more and more Congress fans would be joining the party in the coming days.

Among the prominent who joined the party included Lakhwinder Singh, Sayed, Krishan Rana, Sheru, Naresh Sharma, Kapil, Vijay, Deepu and Jaswant.

Mr Bansal blessed those who had joined the party and appealed to them to work for further strengthening the Congress. The party has embarked on an aggressive membership drive, attracting the young and the idealistic, he said. Party leaders Davinder Singh Babla and H.S. Lucky were also present on the occasion.
