Pawan Kumar Bansal lashes out at Chandigarh administration, says livelihood of shopkeepers and workers of sector 53 furniture market in danger

Chandigarh, Senior congress leader and former MP Pawan Kumar Bansal met with the shopkeepers of sector 53 furniture market on Friday and listened to the issues and problems faced by them. Just a few days ago, a fire broke out in this market, affecting multiple shops and causing millions of rupees in losses to the shopkeepers. The shopkeepers said that the administration is not allowing them to reopen their shops, causing them huge losses, they are worried about their livelihoods for the future. They claim that they have requested rehabilitation from the administration several times, but no one listened to them under the BJP government, so now their only hope is the Congress. In this context, Pawan Kumar Bansal stated that the administration is exacerbating the situation by not allowing these shopkeepers to resume work, as it not only affects them but also impacts the employment of thousands of workers who work here. Pawan Kumar Bansal assured the shopkeepers that he would pay attention to their problems and take steps towards rehabilitation if Congress comes to power again.
On this occasion, representatives from the furniture market including Rakesh Garg, Kanwardeep Singh, Arvind Jain, Ram Singh, Pawan Garg, Rajesh, Sanjay Goyal, Satpal Sharma, Vishnu Sharma, Avinash Agrawal, Bobby, Jatinder Nagpal, Rajendra Bansal, Narendra Singh, Dinesh, Pradeep, Ram Singh, Bhagwan Das, Lovely, Rohitash, Avatar Singh, Shankar, Kabir Alam, Vijay, Manish, Harjinder, Lucky, Satnam, Jaypal Sharma, Raghubeer, and Kuldeep Singh were present.

कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेता और पूर्व सांसद पवन कुमार बंसल ने शुक्रवार को चंडीगढ़ के सेक्टर 53 स्थित ट्राईसिटी की सबसे बड़ी फर्नीचर मार्किट के दुकानदारों से मुलाकात की। कुछ दिनों पहले ही इस मार्किट में आग लगने की घटना सामने आई थी, जिसमें 13 दुकानें आग की चपेट में आई, और दुकानदारों का करोड़ों रुपयों का नुकसान हुआ। ऐसे में पवन कुमार बंसल ने इन दुकानदारों से मुलाकात कर उनकी समस्याओं के बारे में जाना। दुकानदारों का कहना है कि प्रशासन उन्हें फिर से दुकानें खोलने की इजाज़त नहीं दे रहा, जिससे एक तरफ आग लगने की वजह से तो जो करोड़ों का नुकसान हुआ ही है, वहीं दूसरी तरफ आगे के लिए भी उनका रोज़गार छीना जा रहा है। दुकानदारों का कहना है कि वो प्रशासन से कई बार पुनर्वास की मांग कर चुके हैं, लेकिन भाजपा के शासन में उनकी किसी ने नहीं सुनी, इसलिए अब उनकी उम्मीद सिर्फ कांग्रेस से है। ऐसे में पवन कुमार बंसल ने कहा कि प्रशासन इन दुकानदारों को फिर से काम करने की इजाज़त ना देकर बड़ी ज़्यादती कर रहा है, क्योंकि इससे ना सिर्फ इनके बल्कि उन हज़ारों मज़दूरों के रोज़गार पर भी असर पड़ रहा है जो यहाँ काम करते हैं। पवन कुमार बंसल ने इन दुकानदारों से उनकी समस्याओं पर ग़ौर करने और कांग्रेस की सरकार बनने पर पुनर्वास के लिए कदम उठाने का भरोसा भी दिया।
